Job Description Job Description Salary: Our Yellow Hen team is hiring a new teacher for part-time employment to assist the teacher(s) and/or director(s) in supervising children and implementing activities and services in a nurturing environment. Job Responsibilities: Set a positive example through professional language and behavior Demonstrate patience and composure in daily interactions Supervise up to eight children with safety in mind, indoors and outdoors, including occasional independent supervision Assist children with toileting, including diapering and pull-ups Assist children with handwashing, meals, and snack time Demonstrate flexibility with work hours, daily assignments, and assigned age groups Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment Willingness to complete training in health, safety, and emergency preparedness Demonstrate reliability and punctuality Qualifications: Current First Aid and CPR certification Previous childcare or daycare experience preferred This is a smoke-free workplace; employees must not smoke on-site or report to work smelling of smoke This position is part time, 8-15hours a week. Yellow Hen is open Monday - Thursday, 3:30p-5p, and Fridays and school holidays, 8:30a-4:30p. During the summer and school breaks, Yellow Hen operates Monday - Friday on a full day schedule. Successful applicants must pass background check.
