Job Description Summary:

Are you a someone who has excellent customer service skills and wants to make a difference in the guest’s experience?

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Lead Guest Services Agent will provide leadership to our team while creating outstanding guests experiences, checking guest in and out, and processing payments. The position will be responsible for taking lodging room reservations, promoting hotel services, amenities and up-selling products to meet the guest request.  

The position is full-time, with benefits. Schedule will primarily be 7:00AM – 3:30PM and will include weekends, and HOKIE game days.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Previous service industry, front desk or other hospitality customer service experience
  • Cash handling experience
  • Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to problem solve and handle customer issue with tact and sensitivity
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all guests and team members.
  • Preference given for previous experience working at a hotel or conference center, experience with hospitality software.

What the Job Does:

  • Provides excellent customer service to our hotel and conference center guests.
  • Uses the property management system, OPERA to register guests, assign rooms, process charges, payments and other front office procedures.
  • Receives special requests from guests and records or responds to each promptly and professionally.
  • Enters correct and accurate information in OPERA for lodging room reservations.
  • Treats hotel guests in a pleasant and respectful manner.
  • Works with other departments such as housekeeping, food and beverage and engineering to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains good communication with the front office team.

  • 147 Room Hotel and Conference Center with over 22, 000 sq. feet of meeting space.
  • Located in Blacksburg, VA.
