Job Description Job Description A Buyer job in the Winston Salem surrounding area is available courtesy of LHH Recruitment Solutions! Our client is a growing manufacturing company that needs to hire a buyer to support their expanding plant. Job Duties Execute day?to?day purchasing activities in a manufacturing environment Place and manage purchase orders to support production requirements Expedite materials, follow up on deliveries, and resolve back orders Manage raw materials and components including steel, aluminum, insulation, glass, and hardware Monitor inventory levels and adjust purchasing to support production schedules Manage a high SKU count and ensure uninterrupted material flow Maintain vendor information, pricing, and purchasing data Use ERP/MRP systems to evaluate demand and material requirements Partner with plant leadership, quality, and operations teams Support supplier performance and resolve material or quality issues Qualifications ~5 years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment Hands?on buyer with experience owning materials end?to?end Strong ERP/MRP experience (SAP, JD Edwards, or similar) Experience managing raw materials and production components Strong organizational, analytical, and problem?solving skills Ability to work independently and communicate confidently with plant leadership Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Previous people?management experience acceptable Compensation includes salary bonus based on company and individual performance. Comprehensive benefits package includes med/dent/vis insurance, PTO, and 401K match.
