Position Description: CGI Federal is looking for a Middleware
Team Lead (Web Software Developer – Senior) to help support a
program we are working on for the Army's PL ALTESS contract. PL
ALTESS, or Product Lead for Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology
Enterprise Systems and Services, is a key U.S. Army organization
providing IT services and support to the Army and Department of
Defense. As a managed service provider, ALTESS delivers
infrastructure, platform, and application services across data
centers and commercial clouds. It plays a crucial role in
modernizing IT systems by migrating them to the cloud and managing
mission-critical applications to ensure Army readiness. ALTESS
oversees IT service delivery across various hosting locations,
aligning with Department of Defense digital transformation
strategies as part of PEO Enterprise. This position is located in
USA VA Radford USAVARAD1. Your future duties and responsibilities:
Senior middleware administration experience deploying and managing
middleware SW supporting customer applications. Responsible for all
facets of engineering and administering the mid-tier at PL ALTESS.
This includes architecting infrastructure, installing, and
configuring Application and Web Servers, Portals, and associated SW
products and operating system configuration in LINUX, UNIX and
Windows environments. Once deployed, responsible for maintaining
the infrastructure to meet availability and performance standards.
Assists in the scheduling of deployment activity as well as new
installations of mid-tier infrastructure. Responsible for
developing security standards in the mid-tier and ensuring all
systems and applications meet ALTESS and ARMY security
requirements. Responsible for development and maintenance of
mid-tier system monitoring and administrative dashboards to ensure
a proactive approach to system management. Thorough knowledge of
the Cyber Command Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
processes and procedures. Know how to perform a Security Readiness
Review (SRR) and document the SRR findings in a Plan of Action and
Milestones (POA&M) document Required qualifications to be
successful in this role: a) Experience in Computer Science or IT.
b) Three or more years' experience with Application Server
architecture in a large enterprise environment. c) Knowledge of
Internet Information Services (IIS), Apache Tomcat (TOMCAT),
Apache, Java, WebLogic, WebSphere, or similar class server systems.
d) Knowledge of Web Services, both Simple Object Access Protocol
(SOAP) and Representational State Transfer (REST). e) Knowledge of
Extensible Markup Language (XML) is required. f) Knowledge of
Document Type Definition (DTD), Extensible Stylesheet Language
Transformations (XSLT), Xerces and Xalan is a plus. g) Must possess
a familiarity of the Java or C# programming languages to assist
developers in debugging applications. h) Knowledge of the Oracle
Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and the SQL Server
RDBMS is a plus. i) Knowledge of UNIX and Windows administrations
skills. j) Knowledge of Python and PowerShell is a plus. k) All
positions require the ability to relate to customers in a
professional manner. l) Have an active DoD Secret security
clearance Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: a)
Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IAVM. CGI is required by law in

compensation range for this role. The determination of this range
includes various factors not limited to skill set, level,
experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To
support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI
typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range
for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts
and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the
current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 -
