(OR) Facility: Memorial Hospital of Martinsville Location:
Martinsville, VA Shift: 6:30 AM PM – 3:00 PM Assignment Type:
Travel Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Operating Room
Travel Requirement: Must live 60 miles or more from the facility to
qualify for travel stipends Assignment Details - Duration: 13 weeks
(or per facility need) - Schedule: Full time, evening shift - Start
Date: Determined by facility Role Overview The Operating Room
Registered Nurse provides perioperative nursing care for surgical
patients, ensuring safe and efficient procedures. This role
requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the
ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia, and the
surgical team. Key Responsibilities - Provide pre?operative,
intra?operative, and post?operative nursing care - Circulate and
assist during surgical procedures across multiple specialties -
Maintain sterile technique and ensure proper surgical field
preparation - Monitor patient status and respond to changes during
procedures - Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and
surgical technologists - Document all aspects of patient care
according to facility standards - Support patient safety, equipment
readiness, and OR efficiency Required Certifications - ACLS - BLS -
PALS - HWC (available on?site) Qualifications - Active RN license
in Virginia or compact license - 1–2 years of recent OR experience
required - Strong knowledge of perioperative standards and sterile
technique - Ability to work independently in a fast?paced surgical
environment
