working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27157! Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele

Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of
MedSurg experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Trachs, chest tubes, IV starts, wound care, dressing
changes, wound vacs, drains, cardiac rhythm interpretation. Ability
to check off on strips during shift. Experience with non-titrating
drips (Heparin, Lasix, Protonix) is required. Experience with
non-titrating drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone) is preferred.
Description: This position involves caring for patients in a
medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The unit has a total of 20
beds divided into two areas. Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD,
kidney, liver, GI, respiratory issues, CIWA patients, infections,
and wounds. Most patients are medically based, but other service
lines can admit, which may include general surgeries and other
patients. Patient ratios are approximately 1:5. Support staff
includes one CNA for each area and a charge nurse who may take
patients if necessary. Phlebotomy services and respiratory
therapists are available 24/7. Hospitalists and residents are also
available 24/7. Telemetry monitoring is performed through bedside
monitors with a central monitor at the nurses' station. Electronic
medical records are utilized, and various technology and equipment,
including IV pumps and medication dispensing, are in place. There
is a weekend rotation of every other weekend and holiday
expectations of 50%. Requests for time off are generally approved
up to 7 days. The schedule is created in 6-week increments, and
travelers will be assigned to fill gaps in the schedule. Travelers
are not typically allowed overtime unless otherwise approved. Scrub
