Providing expert perioperative nursing care within a busy but supportive environment, this opportunity involves working as an RN in the Operating Room with a well-established hospital setting. Located in Lexington, NC, the role focuses on delivering excellent patient outcomes across a variety of surgical specialties. This contract role suits RNs with at least two years of OR experience, specifically with circulator duties. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Current RN licensure with BLS certification - Minimum of 2 years experience in operating room nursing, preferably as a circulator - Proficient with surgical nursing procedures for general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, podiatry, pediatric dentistry, burn, ENT, pain, and vascular cases - Familiarity with EPIC EMR system - Comfortable working within established departmental protocols and surgical equipment standards Location:Based in Lexington, NC, a community known for its welcoming atmosphere and rich cultural events. Responsibilities: - Provide perioperative nursing care in a facility with 5 active ORs and 2 procedure rooms - Circulate in various surgical specialties to ensure patient safety and smooth operation flow - Participate in the hospitals weekend call rotation approximately every 8th to 10th weekend plus one weekday night call every two weeks - Follow WakeWings department protocols and participate in a 2-day orientation for new employees - Maintain compliance with hospitals patient care policies and documentation standards Schedule/Hours: - Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM 5:00 PM (with some shifts ending at 3:00 PM) - Weekend call every 8th-10th weekend and holiday work at approximately 75% coverage - Night call one weekday evening approximately every 2 weeks Additional Details: - Scrub color provided: Green - Free parking available onsite - No floating assignments This contract position provides a dynamic work environment with a focus on specialty nursing excellence.
