Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Winston Salem, NC Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $1,840 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103! Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – North Carolina Start Date: March 9, 2026 Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week; every other weekend required Highlights: ICU step-down unit with 20 beds and an average daily census of 18 patients Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 with strong critical care focus including vasoactive drip management 13-week contract with orientation support and interdisciplinary team collaboration Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management Diverse patient population including post-op, respiratory distress, GI bleeds, and post-rapid response patients Float to sister ICCU unit as needed based on census Requirements: Minimum 2 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown nursing experience required Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license (must be in hand at start) Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required Strong critical care skills: arterial line management, vasoactive drip titration, telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management Proficiency with IV starts, conscious sedation, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management Experience with chest tubes, tracheostomy management, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and heparin protocols Must pass EKG testing prior to start date Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required Available for hospital orientation during first week (classes each day) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This Progressive Care Unit operates with ICU-level acuity, offering nurses the chance to utilize advanced critical care skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
