Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must have the following skills to be considered for the role: - BLS certification Description: This is a Med Surg position in a unit with 36 beds. The unit has 55 employees. Day shift includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary. Night shift includes 1 clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 techs. Patient ratio is 1:6. Required equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. Candidates familiar with post-operative patients are preferred. Skills in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management are valued. The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude. They should be a strong patient advocate. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential. Dress code requires navy blue and white scrubs. Hoodies, pull-overs, and T-shirts are not permitted.
