Job Description Remede Consulting Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel POSITION: RN – Neuro PCU SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING • Shift hours/Contract Length: 3x12s. 645p-715a 4x12s available upon request up to 52 weeks available upon request • Charting: EPIC experience required • Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block • RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: ALL requests must be included with the submission. • Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. • Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract. • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes • Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria. • Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS ACLS / BLS / NIHSS REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS • Cardiac monitoring and emergency response (dysrhythmia interpretation/management, Rapid Response/Code teams) • IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central/peripheral line care • Medication administration, cardiac drips (no titration) • Respiratory support (nasal cannula, O2 admin, non-invasive airway mgmt) • Rapid Response; Isolation precautions UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING • Ratios: 1:4–5 (Please confirm traveler is comfortable with a 1:5 ratio) • Patient population: Adult patients with neurological conditions • Includes 5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring • Care includes neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, neuro-specific diagnoses, and medical overflow • Floating: Traveler will be required to float to units within their clinical skillset HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is a 703-bed acute care teaching hospital and the flagship facility of Carilion Clinic.
