qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Burlington, North Carolina,

Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive
Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12
Experience: Minimum 2 years required, no first-time travelers
License: Active Nursing License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS,
NIH required Must-Have: - EKG exam required for all RNs, regardless
of specialty - Must be flexible with scheduling and aware of the
zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences - Must
have EPIC experience Description: We are seeking a qualified
Registered Nurse specializing in ICU. The position requires a
commitment to work three 12-hour night shifts each week. Candidates
should possess a minimum of two years of nursing experience.
Experience in Neuro and Surgical ICU is preferred. Responsibilities
include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. You will be
managing multi-system organ failure and assisting with pre and
post-cardiac catheterization interventions. Competency in IV
insulin protocols, CVVHD, CRRT, and arterial line management is
essential. You will also perform blood product administration,
central line care, and PICC line management. Continuous IV sedation
and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips will also be part of
your duties. Experience with CVA acute stroke management and care
for ventilated patients is preferred. You will be required to
interpret ABGs and perform suctioning procedures. Administering
neuromuscular blockade agents and assisting with bedside procedures
like percutaneous tracheostomy will be expected. Care will include
patients with respiratory failure, STEMI, post-cardiac arrest, and
multi-system failure. High-volume populations include patients with
sepsis, renal failure, and cardiac events. You will be responsible
for cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring. The role includes providing
physiological support through pharmacological intervention.
Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is
required, while hemodialysis is performed by an outsourced
certified nurse. Candidates should be prepared to float between
