Pay Information $1,894 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Strong ICU experience for first-time travelers Description: The role involves caring for critically ill patients. The facility has 16 ICU beds with an average daily census of 10 patients. Patients typically include those with ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and strokes. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 2:1 for ICU patients and 3:1 for IMC patients. A CNA is available to assist on the unit, with duties including personal care and transport assistance. The department has support from charge nurses, phlebotomy staff, and a resource nurse. Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7, and there are intensivist services around the clock. Telemetry monitoring is available but serves only as a backup. The technology used includes EMR, IV pumps, medication dispensing systems, and specific unit equipment.
