The Licensed Practical Nurse position coordinates and monitors medical services, including psychiatric, dental, podiatry, vision and medication management, in accordance with the requirements of regulatory agencies and in response to individual resident needs.Now hiring at our Health and Rehab Facilities in Roanoke, VA. Friendship Health and Rehab North - Hershberger Road, Roanoke, VA Friendship Heath and Rehab South - Starkey Road, Roanoke, VAFull Time LPN Sign On Bonus - $10,000 paid out equally over 40 pay periodsShifts Available: FT, PT and PRN 8 hours shifts 1st shift - hours are 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. 2nd shift - hours are 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. 3rd shift - hours are 10:45 p.m. to 7:45 a.m. FT, PT and PRN 12 hour shifts 6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m. 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.Roles & Responsibilities: Provide direct care to residents including preparing and administering medications Prepare and complete electronic documentation Complete corresponding electronic health records upon the residents admission, transfer, and/or discharge Perform routine charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures to include updating care plans Make appropriate reports to the Nurse Supervisor as required or as may be necessary. Follow facilitys established policy Consult with the residents physician in providing the residents care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc. as necessary Review the residents chart for specific treatments, medication orders, diets, etc. as necessary Ensure that adequate medical supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained on unit/shift at all times to meet the needs of the residents Participate in the development and implementation of the procedures for the safe operation of all nursing service equipmentQualifications: Unencumbered LPN license or eligible to sit for boards in the state of Virginia required BLS required/ACLS preferred Experience in a long-term care/nursing facility preferred This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day.
